Vocational Practices Associated with Decentralization

Decentralization plays a crucial role in enhancing the performance of local government institution.
Therefore Hanns Seidel Foundation together with the Nile Center of Beni Suef organized a workshop on decentralization targeted at local administration officials, youth leaders and media representatives.
Beni Suef lies about 115 km south of Cairo.
The workshop covered several sessions on leadership, risk management and quality management combined with input on a decentralized approach in local government institutions. The 38 participants had the chance to exchange their thoughts and experiences in team work sessions to find solutions for problems occurring within their institutions.
The workshop was widely covered by local media.
