The Hanns Seidel Foundation responded quickly to the Egyptian Revolution of 25 January 2011 and the public need of knowledge on democratic practices. A special program to support political empowerment especially among the youth was initiated.

With our partner NGOs and the Nile Centers in all Egyptian Governorates many seminars and workshops are implemented. They aim to build the capacities of the youth as well as local change agents and communication officers in methods to enhance political participation, civic engagement and to raise awareness of civic and political rights and responsibilities.
