The German Government has decided to cooperate in the field of Climate Change worldwide and particularly in Asia. India has already started taking initiatives with regard to Climate Change through the National Action Plan on Climate Change, which was passed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in June, 2008. In the accomplishment of these objectives, India has to take appropriate steps towards the nine missions in order to face the climate change problems more.....

The Gandhian idea of Democracy takes shape from the basis of equality and participation of each and every citizen in the functioning of government. However this thought can only be materialized when the people are educated. This education not only limits itself to the conventional knowledge imparted only to a certain privileged class but it encompasses most importantly knowledge of rights and duties. Such kind of education, which deals with rights and duties is named as Civic Education, that a person and here a women gets when she is a citizen of a country irrespective of her social or economic background. On 30 March 2011 experts from SIDART took sessions on civic education and their rights making the women self-reliant in terms of identifying and solving problems on their own. Emphasis was made on the importance of literacy and health related issues. The constitution and functions of Panchayat were discussed in depth. Women were encouraged to speak as a group in Panchayats which will have a bigger impact and timely actions will be taken by the concerned authorities more.....

In the framework of forthcoming Indo – German year, Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) together with Federation of Indo German Societies (FIGS) organized two culture, political programs on the topic Tagore and Germany.
