Voting for a Social Budget

Ongoing initiative in mainstreaming environmental education
Since 2012, Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Palestinian Wildlife Society consult the Ministry of Education of the Palestinian Authority for integrating Environmental Education into the Palestinian school curricula. From 4 to 6 November, 2012 the working group arranged an international workshop in Bethlehem in order to scrutinize the results of this process.

Writing an Ethic code in the Municipality of Ussefiya
This year the Department of Education and the Mayor of Ussefiya launched a project that aims to create an ethic code for the municipality under the guidance of the Academy for Quality Government. The writing of the code is tailored to the specific needs of the community.

8th annual Taybeh Oktoberfest
From the 6th to the 7th of October 2012 the 8th annual „Taybeh Oktoberfest“ took place in the small village of Taybeh, 35 km north of Jerusalem. Since 2006 the Hanns Seidel Foundation has supported the “Taybeh Brewery” and its extraordinary and unique event in the Palestinian Territories.

I'lam: Palestinian Citizens as Constituents of a Debating Society
