Shatil is an initiative founded by the New Israel Fund and aims to strengthen civil-society entities. Shatil promotes democracy, tolerance and social justice in Israel through guidance of non-governmental organizations that work on this field. In this context they address contemporary issues in areas like civil and human rights, Jewish-Palestinian coexistence, status of women, environmental and economic justice as well as religious freedom.
