The Habibie Center (THC) is a non-profit, non-governmental and independent organization founded on November 10, 1999 by former President of the Republic of Indonesia, Bacharudin Jusuf Habibie who wishes to perpetuate the advancement of democracy and human rights in Indonesia.

To support the goals of THC, a number of supporting units have been established:

• The Institute for Democracy and Human Rights
• The Habibie Foundation for Human Resources in Science and Technology
• Media Development Center
• The Maritime Continent Institute
• Center for the Socialization and Dissemination of Technology
• Networking and Cooperation.

HSF cooperates with THC in the field of promoting development of democracy in Indonesia.
