The Yogyakarta-based University, which used to be Teacher Pedagogy School, cooperates with the Hanns Seidel Foundation in the field of Environmental Education.

This cooperation aims at promoting and strengthening environmental education for Primary Schools or their equivalent, in the mutually agreed upon areas in Yogyakarta, by utilizing resources and facilities available in the environment of the both parties.

Amongst other activities are training, studies, and development of environmental education material for teachers and students of Primary Schools, though not limited to Secondary and High Schools or their equivalent.
