A Zero-waste project has been recently carried out by Hanns Seidel Foundation in cooperation with the provincial farmer’s councils in southern provinces (Songkhla and Pattalung) during July 26th -29th, 2012 to overcome the global warming and to decrease farm household expenditures by substituting bio-gas produced from cow dungs for cooking gas.

The workshop was opened by the president of Songkhla provincial farmer’s council, Mr. Chayan Sangkaphaitoon and attended by 64 participants.

The results of the former activities have shown great success. Reports from cooperating groups and cooperatives were entirely positive. It contributed commonly to income generation by saving costs in other areas.
