To celebrate the first anniversary of the Strategic Partnership between Germany and Vietnam a magazine titled “Vietnam-Germany, a strategic partnership for sustainable development” was published beginning of September as a special edition of the magazine “The World & Vietnam”. The magazine was published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) with support from the Hanns Seidel Foundation.

The agreement on a strategic partnership in October 2011 marked a new chapter in the bilateral ties between Vietnam and Germany. The focus is on deepened business, trade and education relations with the aim of sustainable development in Vietnam.

The magazine gives an overview of the current relations between Vietnam and Germany and offers German firms and organizations the opportunity to present their work in Vietnam. In addition, several representatives of the Vietnamese government contributed articles on the history of German-Vietnamese relation as well as on the implementation of future projects to promote the strategic partnership. The Hanns Seidel Foundation was also able to present its work in Southeast Asia on three pages.

The articles in the magazine are published both in German and in Vietnamese.
