The Hanns Seidel Foundation fulfils its mission in a true Christian spirit in currently 72 countries worldwide.

For more than 30 years, the Institute for International Cooperation (IIC) has been involved in international projects, with financial backing from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the European Union, the United Nations Development Fund (UNDEF), and other partners abroad. The ICC works throughout the world towards “good governance”, democracy, peace, the rule of law and sustainable development.

The Liaison Bureaus in Washington, Brussels, Moscow/International Conferences have the task, in accordance with the Statutes of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, of promoting the understanding of nations and European unification through international debates and conferences.

The work of the Office for Foreign Relations concentrates mainly upon the analysis of European and extra-European political party landscapes, in particular upon Christian-Democratic and Conservative parties.
